Meet Dan
Coach Dan is an experienced ultra trail runner based in Colorado, regularly found exploring the stunning trails around Boulder. He takes a long-view approach to ultramarathoning and running. Training not just for race day, but more importantly, for a strong, healthy, and sustainable lifestyle. With a deep belief in the power of self-care, Dan encourages athletes to prioritize quality sleep, clean nutrition, rest and recovery, and a positive & disciplined mindset as essential pieces of the training puzzle.
Dan believes in training to your own abilities; honoring the process and running your own race. For him, success isn’t about podiums or stats; it’s about growth, fulfillment, and feeling strong on and off the trail.
With emphasis that the body is an intricate system of systems, Dan believes in the importance of tending to the wide array of health and performance. That includes strength work, mobility, cross-training with tools like biking and weight lifting, and perhaps most importantly: mental wellness & durability. He builds his coaching on integrity, long-term growth, and a deep commitment to each athlete’s well-being.
Dan brings a down-to-earth style to his coaching; serious about the work as well as the joy of movement and the healing power of nature. To him, running is a way to connect to your body, to the outdoors, and to your best self. He believes athletic pursuits should be fun, too!
